New word – Autoph

I’ve tried googling it – nothing even remotely close comes up. The closest is “AUTO PH” dealing with swimming pools. Already knew about that, because the last two summers I worked as a pool manager in St. Louis.

Anyway, I found this word on the Destiny Central website after following a link (I think it was “Rejuvination” or something similar). Anyway, the idea is that someone found some VERY old books, and one of the things they learned was that there is a bit of truth to the story of Adam & Eve in the garden. But the basic sin wasn’t sex – it was eating. So, a search was begun, and they found that there are people alive today who are perfectly healthy but have completely quit eating. We’re talking more than a year since they last consumed anything. The majority of these people seem to be in Russia and India. They mentioned that the people who have done this actually got healthier as they followed the path that led them to become these “super people.”

Well, here is the program, as best as I understand it. It should take at least a month, and preferably six months to adjust before moving to each new step.

The first step is to reduce to zero your daily meat intake. Then you reduce to zero your eating of all animal products (including milk). At this point, you are eating only plant organizms – which would include fruits and grains. The next step (possibly the hardest in this society) is to go to completely organic foods that have not been processed or cooked. Then you begin fasting – first only one day per week. Then two, then three. Eventually you begin measuring your fasts by the month, and it seemed to me from what I read that it wouldn’t take very many of those (month-long fasts) before you became an autoph – someone who wouldn’t need to eat anything ever again.

Does this seem completely goofy, or do you think there might be something to this?

  1. A passage from a “very old book”

This is supposedly from “The Book of Enoch” chapter 69 – which would make it over 6000 years old, if it’s true. What I find wierd is – this is a passage describing the reasons for God’s judment – that resulted in the Great Flood of Noah! But, if you use it as a mirror to look at mankind today . . . . . well, I’ll let you jump to that conclusion on your own. Any emphasis is my own editorial alteration.

“1 And after this judgement they shall terrify and make them to tremble because they have shown this to those who dwell on the earth. 2 And behold the names of those angels [and these are their names: the first of them is Samjaza, the second Artaqifa, and the third Armen, the fourth Kokabel, the fifth Turael, the sixth Rumjal, the seventh Danjal, the eighth Neqael, the ninth Baraqel, the tenth Azazel, the
eleventh Armaros, the twelfth Batarjal, the thirteenth Busasejal, the fourteenth Hananel, the fifteenth Turel, and the sixteenth Simapesiel, the seventeenth Jetrel, the eighteenth Tumael, the nineteenth Turel, 3 the twentieth Rumael, the twenty-first Azazel. And these are the chiefs of their angels and their names, and their chief ones over
hundreds and over fifties and over tens]. 4 The name of the first Jeqon: that is, the one who led astray [all] the sons of God, and brought them 5 down to the earth, and led them astray through the daughters of men. And the second was named Asbeel: he imparted to the holy sons of God evil counsel, and led them astray so that they defiled 6 their bodies with the daughters of men. And the third was named Gadreel: he it is who showed the children of men all the blows of death, and he led astray Eve, and showed [the weapons of death to the sons of men] the shield and the coat of mail, and the sword for battle, and all the weapons 7 of death to the children of men. And from his hand they have proceeded against those who dwell 8 on the earth from that day and for evermore. And the fourth was named Penemue: he taught the 9 children of men the bitter and the sweet, and he taught them all the secrets of their wisdom. And he instructed mankind in writing with ink and paper, and thereby many sinned from eternity to 10 eternity and until this day. For men were not created for such a purpose, to give confirmation 11 to their good faith with pen and ink.

For men were created exactly like the angels, to the intent that they should continue pure and righteous, and death, which destroys everything, could not have taken hold of them, but through this their knowledge they are perishing, and through this power 12 it is consuming me. And the fifth was named Kasdeja: this is he who showed the children of men all the wicked smitings of spirits and demons, and the smitings of the embryo in the womb, that it may pass away, and [the smitings of the soul] the bites of the serpent, and the smitings 13 which befall through the noontide heat, the son of the serpent named Taba’et. And this is the task of Kasbeel, the chief of the oath which he showed to the holy ones when he dwelt high 4 above in glory, and its name is Biqa. This (angel) requested Michael to show him the hidden name, that he might enunciate it in the oath, so that those might quake before that name and oath who revealed all that was in secret to the children of men. And this is the power of this oath, for it is powerful and strong, and he placed this oath Akae in the hand of Michael.

16 And these are the secrets of this oath . . . And they are strong through his oath: And the heaven was suspended before the world was created, And for ever.

  2. A “divine” calendar???

This is from chapter 72 of “The book of Enoch” and pertains to the calendar system. It would be a quite different calendar from what we use today. If I’m reading it correctly, the first change is only 18 divisions in a day. Hmmmm………

    – – – – – – – – – – –

1 The book of the courses of the luminaries of the heaven, the relations of each, according to their classes, their dominion and their seasons, according to their names and places of origin, and according to their months, which Uriel, the holy angel, who was with me, who is their guide,
showed me; and he showed me all their laws exactly as they are, and how it is with regard to all the years of the world 2 and unto eternity, till the new creation is accomplished which dureth till eternity. And this is the first law of the luminaries: the luminary the Sun has its rising in the eastern portals of the heaven, 3 and its setting in the
western portals of the heaven. And I saw six portals in which the sun rises, and six portals in which the sun sets and the moon rises and sets in these portals, and the leaders of the stars and those whom they lead: six in the east and six in the west, and all following each other 4 in
accurately corresponding order: also many windows to the right and left of these portals. And first there goes forth the great luminary, named the Sun, and his circumference is like the 5 circumference of the heaven, and he is quite filled with illuminating and heating fire. The chariot on which he ascends, the wind drives, and the sun goes down
from the heaven and returns through the north in order to reach the east, and is so guided that he comes to the appropriate (lit. ‘ that ‘) portal and 6 shines in the face of the heaven. In this way he rises in the first month in the great portal, which 7 is the fourth [those six portals in the cast]. And in that fourth portal from which the sun
rises in the first month are twelve window-openings, from which proceed a flame when they are opened in 8 their season. When the sun rises in the heaven, he comes forth through that fourth portal thirty, 9 mornings in succession, and sets accurately in the fourth portal in the west of the heaven. And during this period the day becomes daily longer
and the night nightly shorter to the thirtieth 10 morning. On that day the day is longer than the night by a ninth part, and the day amounts exactly to ten parts and the night to eight parts. And the sun rises from that fourth portal, and sets in the fourth and returns to the fifth portal of the east thirty mornings, and rises from it and sets in the fifth 12 portal. And then the day becomes longer by two parts and amounts to eleven parts, and the night 13 becomes shorter and amounts to seven parts. And it returns to the east and enters into the sixth 14 portal, and rises and sets in the sixth portal one-and-thirty mornings on account of its sign. On that day the day becomes longer than the night, and the day becomes double the night, and the day 15 becomes
twelve parts, and the night is shortened and becomes six parts.

    Fascinating stuff!

I can’t quite work with the idea of not eating anything. That’s just too much of a leap of faith for me, perhaps; it flies too dramatically in the face of science. Energy requires the burning of something, and that “something” is food. Postulates might be enough in a perfect world, but… I’m not even close to that!

These other quotations would be fascinating to employ and see what happens. I’ve never read the Book of Enoch material. Honestly? People I know who’ve gotten deeply into this… well, they went a bit batty and I’ve kept away from it, not knowing why it affects people so profoundly.

The pen and ink thing reminds me a lot of the movie, “Stargate” in which they weren’t supposed to write. In fact, if Enoch (or his followers) believed that part… how would the Book of Enoch exist, except by the hand of sinners who may be alter-ising the original materials?

    Fascinating stuff, really!

  4. I don’t have a problem with the pen-and-ink thing. There are many such contradictions in the “accepted” scriptures of the Christian Bible. For example, the 10 Commandments contain a proscription against killing, but there are times the Israelites were ordered “by God” to kill in his name. So, I’m not worried about the apparent contradiction of there being a Book of Enoch when there is supposed to be a ban on writing.

What is driving me crazy, sort of, is that I remember reading a reference on course in the Org (when I was still in the Church of Scientology) where LRH said he’d read in the very ancient Chinese writings (Vedic mms?) that one of the great falls of mankind involved when they (we?) began to eat.

Now, this reference seems to support that assertion from a different source that would be nearly equally ancient. Along with it comes the statement that there are people alive today who do not need to eat, though they were born with bodies just as ours are. It’s not talking about producing energy by postulate, necessarily, but the claim is that our bodies can absorb energy directly from the enviroment around us, and would be healthier when doing so. That is a pretty big statement. I’m wondering if it would be worth the effort to check it out. Especially for me, since I have been “collecting” health problems ever since I became a disabled veteran.
