Off-the-chart weird dream . . .

“Come on get hap – py!” Bonus points if you can name the TV series who’s theme song used that line, without looking it up or any delay.

Too late.

It was “The Partridge Family”. You know, Shirley Jones (the hottest, coolest mom ever!), David Cassidy, Susan Dey, Danny Bonaduce, and the youngest were the twins.

Well, in the off-the-charts freaking weird dream I was still having when my wife woke up and started fixing our breakfast this morning, they were from the same small town I grew up in. Oh, and I was living there again, and we were pals.

I was driving around town in this all-white VW van that looked like a mini version of the bus they used in the TV series. But it was like we were all close, but hadn’t seen each other for a while, because every time I ran into one of them, (like seeing Shirley as she was getting ready to wash her car, I stopped and she ran over to give me a hug) there was an affectionate greeting.

Oh, it gets weirder. I had a crush on Susan Dey when I was a kid (who didn’t?). But, in my dream, Susan had more of an olive complexion – she looked kinda like Penelope Cruz. I ran into Susan at the grocery store, she was the next person ahead of me in the line to check out. As she was getting things off of her cart, she had to get something off of the bottom, and deliberately bent over at the waist to show me there was NOTHING under her mini-skirt. Yeah, and I’m already married, and still was even in the dream! AAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

  1. *chuckle* I not only knew the TV show from that one line, I can sing most of the song… off-key, but it’s still vaguely recognizable anyway.

The dream sounds like you’re getting more in sync with the seasons, and Spring is influencing your dreams.

Just be grateful that it wasn’t the original Brady Bunch show, and their housekeeper, Alice, doing the grocery shopping!
