Well, that was a brutal weekend, but, Saturday evening, my wife and I watched a documentary on Netflix (streaming) about the rising rate of antibiotic-resistant bacteria and disease in the USA. The title of the documentary is “Resistance” – and it really slaps our society in the face for causing the problem it is now powerless to deal with, and not having the will to take the only measure that will even check the spread of the problem, even though it has been used effectively in Europe. This is highly recommended – 5 stars out of 5.
I’ve been trying something else that I want to share. In fact, I don’t know how well I’d have made it through the weekend without this. A few weeks ago, I learned of a hypo-allergenic sleep aid that is a spray to put on your pillow made entirely of essential oils of natural plants. I wanted to try it, but there is literally only one vender in the US, and their website has been showing “out of stock”. My wife wrote down the list of ingredients, and asked our local herbalist if she could make up something. She didn’t have ALL of the ingredients, but did have most so she gave it a shot. The results have been good. I’ve had it almost 2 weeks, and like I said, I don’t know that I’d have bounced back from this weekend so well if I hadn’t had that helping me sleep.
The ingredients she used are these essential oils, nothing else:
Patchouli – Lavender – Citronella – Juniper – Geranium – Orange – Lemon.
