I asked my wife to come up with something special for supper tonight – not special in the sense of it being some sort of occasion, but special because I feel it is needed.
After talking things over, we came up with the idea for a salad with:
Arugula leaves, lettuce leaves, kale leaves, spinach leaves, garlic, green onion, yellow onion, red onion, tomato, carrot, and strips off of a rotisserie chicken. She also said she has some “salad turnips” in the refrigerator, but I’ve always heard that turnips aren’t safe to eat raw. With vinegar and oil dressing.
Cap that with a glass of red wine, and it sure seems like it would be special.
I have to admit that it was delicious! And paleo friendly and alkaline balanced, too.
