The link points to a PBS Newshour interview where it is pointed out that teens are taking the brunt of the unemployment punishment. HS grads who don’t go on to college are having trouble finding jobs. Many who want full-time jobs have to settle for part-time because that is what is available. The more poor your family background is, the harder it is to get work.
Underemployment for these is around 80%, which is horrible. But it gets worse. While the US imports about a million new unskilled workers every year, poor black teenagers are experiencing unemployment rates of 90% to 95%.
