As you well know by now, I’ve been having steady and remarkable success with the Paleo diet ever since January, 2015. So, sugar is one thing I don’t pay a lot of attention to any more. Still, I saw this article, and thought it worth sharing.
http://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2015/08/14/what-eating-40-teaspoons-of-sugar-a-day-can-do-to-you/?_r=1
The article is about a man who decided to test whether sugar is the actual problem with the so-called “modern diet”. He learned that the average Australian consumes 40 teaspoons of sugar per day (and the average US teenager consumes about 28), so he decided to consume 40 teaspoons of sugar per day for 2 months. As a twist (or control) he focused on getting his 40 teaspoons of sugar from NON-junk food sources, like diet yogurt.
Seriously, read the article.
