A profound thought . . .

I was watching a documentary about the efforts by some scientists to look at the physical evidence and see if we need to reassess the timeline for earth-history.  There were some pretty compelling clues pointing to a PARTIAL reassessment.

But, one professor that was interviewed was unabashedly pro-Bible as an authoritative source for historical information.  He went so far as to state that the Bible has never been PROVED wrong about anything in mid-eastern history.  *AHEM*

He did have one thing to say that inspired a light-bulb moment for me, though.  He said that the end of the last ice-age was basically the beginning of the Book of Genesis, and that mankind had entirely grown from Adam & Eve’s children.

Well, everyone knows (or should) that the whole reason most of the world does not allow marriage between family closer than 2nd cousins is because we’re trying to avoid the negative side effects of inbreeding.  My light-bulb moment?

That’s the whole reason humanity is so screwed up!  We’re the product of inbreeding!

You may now return to your regularly scheduled day.

Funny! Liked it. Anita sent me your way. Kinda a philosopher myself. Of course inbreeding is only a part of the problem.

    • Hi Jim! Anita and I have been friends for quite a while now. Do you have a similar background? I’m just curious because I knew a guy named Jim back in St. Louis, but I guess if you were him you’d have said so.
