Karma . . .

Karma is known by several different ideas, including:

Pay It Forward;

What goes around, comes around; and

What you send out to the universe comes back to you, three fold.

The reason I bring this up now is my recent accident, when I fell off of our porch and broke my wrist, among many other injuries.

I’m firmly convinced that, if I had not already had a history of doing everything I could to help others in their time of need, it is very likely that I would not have been aided by a good Samaritan when I fell off of the porch.

It is my humble opinion that, if we all did everything we could, without thought for compensation, to be of service to the world around us, none of us would be left wanting when we needed the help of others.

This is not meant to advocate for any form of socialist or communist doctrine.  Quite the contrary, I know that the universe operates on a doctrine of “growth or perish” type of philosophy.  I’m just hoping to balance pure capitalism with the concept of – as some religions phrase it – “Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.”  Being selfish is no more sustainable than being a doormat.

The universe does not work that way.  Everything is about balance.  We must learn to work together.

  2. I just would like to state that Karma, as it seems, is not that simple. For example, if we are working for a company that is involved in illicit activities, we are accumulating bad Karmas. Now if we are aware of the illicit activities and continue to support that company then the effect is much severe than when we were not aware. We take a berth in a particular family, marry a particular person, and make friends with a select few, do you think it is by chance? We like some people instantly and not so much another despite the fact that we are meeting both of them for the first time(we call it frequency). The crux of the matter is, any and every activity we perform has Karma involved. If we have unfinished Karma with some souls we keep coming back to the same people and situations again and again, so there is no escaping unpleasant relationship and conditions, what we have created in this, or past lives. People who create fear of God in us are actually fooling themselves also. If one is clear about the Karmic Laws then one is very clear about the life, non-involvement of God in the process and understanding of what and why something is happening in our life. Regards.
