US Jury condemns Monsanto product. . . .

A US jury has rendered the verdict that Monsanto’s weed killer is “substantially responsible” for a man’s development of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.  This is the 2nd  such jury award in the last week, with both jury’s awarding in excess of $280 Million USD.

It seems that Monsanto has been aware of this for a very long time.  They even accepted a $66 Billion buyout from Bayer just to loose the Monsanto name while continuing to sell a product that has faced adverse scrutiny around the world.

Big Pharma so greedy it has sought, and obtained, permission to market anti-cholesterol drugs as cancer treatment medicines!  The maddening thing is – medical literature acknowledges that anti-cholesterol drugs can CAUSE cancer.

Why Richard Burr Has my Vote

I’m not a person who ever votes for (or against) any candidate based on only one issue – but, this is one that comes close to crossing that border. I am an Army veteran, Medic. I’m a few years to young to have gone to Vietnam, but I knew many guys who did.

I’m sure you don’t care about sympathy, but please know you have my understanding and encouragement to persevere. FYI – modern medicine really fails when trying to give a life-expectancy estimate. My father (not a military veteran) was diagnosed with a degenerative form of arthritis that was expected to be fatal within 5 years – 32 years ago. He still lives. There is always hope.
